What this is

Unformat.online provides free, browser-based tools for cleaning and formatting text, JSON, SQL, YAML, XML, and other data. No account, registration, or payment is required. By using this site you agree to these terms.

This includes FileSQL, a tool that lets you query CSV and JSON files using SQL directly in your browser. FileSQL is powered by DuckDB Wasm and runs entirely client-side — your files are never uploaded to any server.

It also includes Shredder, a privacy tool that strips hidden metadata from images (GPS, Exif), PDFs (author, edit history), and text files (API keys, IP addresses). All Shredder processing runs entirely in your browser — your files are never uploaded to any server.

It also includes CronScope, a cron expression visualizer that shows a 12-month calendar of every trigger date for any cron expression, with timezone support and a frequency safety check. All CronScope processing runs entirely in your browser — your cron expressions are never sent to any server.

Acceptable use

You may use Unformat.online for personal or commercial purposes free of charge. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to overload or disrupt the service
  • Use automated scripts to make excessive requests to the site
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access or tamper with systems not intended for public use

No warranty

Unformat.online is provided “as is” without any warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the tools. Use the output at your own discretion and always keep a copy of your original data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unformat.online and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss or corruption.

Intellectual property

The Unformat.online name, design, and code are owned by us. Your data is yours — all processing happens locally in your browser and nothing you paste is sent to our servers. You retain full ownership of anything you input or output.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The “Last updated” date below reflects the most recent revision.
