How it works

Frequently asked questions

Does this edit the existing text on the page?

No — everything you draw or type is placed over the page; it can't click into and edit text that's already there. PDFs store text as positioned glyphs, not as an editable document flow, so true in-place text editing isn't something a browser tool can safely do.

Are the checkbox and radio marks real, fillable form fields?

No — they're static drawings, a box or circle you tick before saving, permanently baked into the page. That's the point: this tool is for PDFs that visually look like forms but have no real fillable fields. If your PDF does have real fillable fields, use Fill PDF Form instead — it fills the actual fields.

What characters can I type?

Basic Latin text — the same character set as Windows-1252 (covers English and most Western European languages, including accented characters like é, ñ, ü). CJK scripts, Arabic, Cyrillic, and emoji aren't supported yet, because the built-in fonts this tool uses don't have those glyphs.

Are the shapes and lines crisp at any zoom, or a flat image?

They're drawn as real vector PDF content — rectangles, ellipses, lines, and freehand strokes — not a rasterized picture pasted over the page, so they stay sharp no matter how far the recipient zooms in.

Does this upload my PDF anywhere?

No. Everything — reading the PDF, rendering the page, drawing, and saving — happens entirely in your browser.
