How it works

Frequently asked questions

Does this split into multiple separate files?

Not yet — this tool saves your selected pages as one new PDF. If you need several separate files at once (e.g. one file per chapter), that's on the roadmap; for now, run the tool once per group of pages you want.

Does this upload my PDF anywhere?

No. The file is read and rebuilt entirely in your browser using a Web Worker — there's no upload and no server round trip.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Yes, if you have the password. It's used locally to unlock the file and never leaves your device.

What happens to bookmarks and form fields?

They're lost — this is a limitation of how PDF page-copying works in general, not specific to this tool. You'll see a warning naming what will be lost before you save, if anything.
